At the edge of a lake in a shed in a small Irish town, the ordinary is made extraordinary. Within is the laboratory of PJ Rigney – boundary-pushing begetter of hand-made spirits who slow distills gin with natures finest oriental bontanicals and gunpowder tea.

  • Throughout the years PJ Rigney has taken many journeys from the familiar into terra incognita. From the rural wilds of Drumshanbo, to themountains of Macedonia, to the Eastern Province of Zheijang, China, each of the 12 intriguing botanicals were individually added to PJ Rigney’s secret tabernacle creating an exotic, long and mysterious finish.

TASTING NOTES

Smooth layers of fresh citrus with subtle notes of spicier oriental botanical and the intriguing gunpowder tea, bring a refreshing excitement to this Irish curiosity.

    Add 35 ml Gunpowder Irish Gin to 100 ml Tonic Water. Finish off with a handful of Ice Cubes and slice of Grapefruit.

    GUNPOWDER MARTINI

    60ml Gunpowder Irish Gin added to dry vermouth, orange bitters and 1 bar spoon of gunpowder tea.
